Hello there!

My name is Meagan Corlin. For the past eight years, my younger sister Laura and I have collaborated to put together a talent showcase held in Rochester, NH to raise money for the New Hampshire Muscular Dystrophy Association. Started in 1997, the first show was held at the Lilac Mall. The following year it was held at the Rochester Opera House. For the following three years the show was housed at the Spaulding High School Auditorium. Last year the show was brought back to the Opera House in Rochester! To date, the show has raised nearly $30,000.00 for the NH MDA! For the past three years the show has been televised LIVE on Metrocast cablevision and past special guests even included the honorable Governor Jeanne Shaheen! This year’s show was also televised. Our show is the only one of its kind in our area fundraising for the Jerry Lewis MDA Labor Day Telethon. The eighth annual event was held at the Rochester VFW on AUGUST 22rd at 4 pm. The two hour event featured amature and professional talent of all ages and remained a terrific family event that covered every kind of entertainment taste. Tap dancers, vocalists, guitar players, acrobatic routines, and MORE! Next year's show will be an exciting event organized by the newly formed Local Stars Production Team, a group of youth volunteers and performers who will spend the year producing the show!
